Let’s start off with this simple yet effective tactic that should be a part of any email marketing strategy: Giving them an incentive.
Yes, it sounds simple but it’s a fact that people like free stuff. You can offer them different things such as free eBooks, podcasts, etc. Try testing a few things and see which one works.
For me, it was giving an eBook. I generated thousands of email subscribers by just offering an eBook through Instagram and Pinterest via call-to-actions on my posts. This method is very effective and works really well if you have something unique to offer. You should definitely give it a try.
This tactic can work on different social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, etc. as well. Just remember that your offer should be compelling and something different from the crowd. Avoid click-bait at all costs because they turn off readers and can turn you into a spammer as well.
Add a Unique Pop-In Form into your Email Marketing Strategy

These are just to name a few. Segmentation will depend on your marketing goals and the individual subscriber. Don’t hesitate to put some time into grouping your list. It might seem tedious, but it will pay dividends in the long run. Needless to say, it must be a part of your email marketing strategy.
Sometimes, you think you’re doing everything right with your email campaigns, design, and content, but things don’t seem to be working out. In those cases, there may be a single thing that is fending off readers. It could be your email subject line, your call-to-actions, or your email design.

I’m not talking about buying subscriptions or anything. I’m talking about making YouTube videos that are related to your niche.
YouTube is a great way to set yourself apart from the crowd. While your competitors might just be focusing on their blog, you can leverage the 2nd biggest search engine for getting more exposure.
Your YouTube descriptions help search engines understand what the content is about. Therefore, you should write a 300+ words description that briefly explains the video’s topic and include a strong call-to-action that incites people to subscribe to your email newsletter. This helps in email list building as well as your website’s SEO.
Make Your Email Sign up Form Clear
If your email sign up form is not shown properly on your website, how do you expect people to fill it out? The thing about most people is that when they are scanning through your website, plenty of things are going through their minds. So you have to remind them about subscribing to your email list.
Reminding them does not mean you have to annoy them. We’ve all been to that website that has too many pop-ups. These pop-ups seem like ads to many people which results in increasing your bounce rates.
