But if your services are for men, Pinterest might not be the best marketing option for you. This doesn’t mean you should ignore this platform. You should be on this platform no matter what but thorough research will help you decide how much effort you’re going to put into this platform.
It’s All About Looks
The main concept of Pinterest – a center for visuals – also becomes one of its biggest disadvantages. This platform relies solely on visuals. If you create low-quality photos and videos, there’s no chance of getting a high following on Pinterest.
I included this as a disadvantage because getting the best visuals is not always cheap. You’ll have to hire professional graphic designers or photographers which is heavy on the wallet.
Some scammers offer Pinterest users free products after completing a survey. They post these surveys as a well-known company and take the users to another website through an affiliate link. They get users’ personal information and never send them free products.
It is easy to steal other people’s work stored in their accounts. It demotivates the content creators who spend hours on creating valuable content and eventually, someone steals their intellectual property.

Pinterest Marketing has its advantages and disadvantages. How much time and effort you’re going to spend on this platform depends entirely on which business you’re in.
